Technical Details & Application Guide

For more detailed information refer to: HYDROGRIP TECHNICAL DATA SHEET (TDS)

Overview

HydroGrip is a clear-drying polycarbonate additive designed to improve slip resistance without altering the appearance of HydroSeal or other compatible coatings. Ideal for areas that may become wet, such as restaurant kitchens, coffee shops, or commercial interiors.

Benefits

• Enhances traction while maintaining a clear finish
• Integrates seamlessly into HydroSeal’s second coat
• Lightweight, non-abrasive particles for smooth texture
• Adjustable slip resistance through mix ratio control
• Water-cleanable before curing

Preparation & Application

• Mixing: Add 2 fl. oz. of HydroGrip per 1 gallon of mixed HydroSeal. Adjust quantity for desired slip resistance. Mix for 2–3 minutes to ensure even suspension.

• Application: Apply in the final coat of HydroSeal using a 3/8" nap roller. Cross-roll for uniform texture. Additional coats may be required for porous surfaces.

• Cleanup: Remove uncured material with soap and water.

Limitations & Safety

• Slip-resistant, not slip-proof — performance varies with texture and environment
• Always test a small area for compatibility and appearance
• Overuse may alter coating gloss or texture
• Use only with adequate ventilation; wear gloves and eye protection
• First Aid: Flush eyes or skin with water for 15 minutes. Move to fresh air if inhaled

Storage & Maintenance

• Store sealed in a cool, dry place. Avoid freezing
• Dispose of hardened material per local regulations
• Maintain coated floors by cleaning with a neutral cleaner and avoiding abrasives
