Overview

HydroEtch is a concentrated crystalline cleaner and etching agent that prepares bare concrete for coatings or stains. It removes surface laitance and opens pores to ensure strong adhesion of HydroSeal, HydroColor, and HydroStain systems.

Benefits

• Deep cleans and etches in one step
• Promotes strong coating adhesion
• Easy-to-use crystalline powder concentrate
• Compatible with all HydroSystems products
• Environmentally friendly, water-based formulation

Preparation & Application

• Mixing: Combine one 1 lb bag with 2 gallons of clean water in a plastic container.

• Application:
1. Dampen the concrete surface.
2. Apply evenly with a sprinkling can or sprayer.
3. Scrub thoroughly using a stiff broom while keeping the surface wet.
4. Rinse with clean water and vacuum or squeegee off residue.
5. Allow the surface to dry before coating.

• Coverage: ~250 sq. ft. per 1 lb bag (varies by porosity).

Limitations & Safety

• Interior use only
• Do not allow solution to dry before rinsing
• Avoid use on sealed, coated, or metallic surfaces
• Contains citric acid – may cause eye or skin irritation
• First Aid: Flush eyes or skin with water for 15 minutes; seek medical attention if needed

Storage & Maintenance

• Store sealed in a cool, dry place
• Dispose of contents and containers per local regulations
• Keep out of reach of children
• Test porosity before coating: surface should darken quickly when misted with water
